Reverie

He said he is happy
'coz many a car
stand by his door
bearing brands to flash
and for sake of norm
his life is shared
with ones who love
as he earns for all
to give gold to all.

It was here
that the penny dropped.

Sure he isn't poor
for any want or warmth
it matters in least
his time on land
wasn't spent
walking hand in hand
with me
what went amiss
if no hues of sunrise saw
nor could linger rays
of setting sun
to witness see me kneel
beside knee
or rest the head
on lover's arm,
what cost
indeed in big scheme
of things
that togetherness was
so worthlessly lost?

Hearken O' heart
the call for prayer
for clear dawn has just begun
to reveal a truth
that lurked in shadow -
at long last a reverie
comes to end.

Just to let you know that i have no words that can match yours. Buti think i heard what you just said.
Am eagerly waiting when you sound not broken but strong to face the reality.
i guess that's what all of us try to do when the reverie is broken.
Have i got ur drift or am i going tangent...say something pls.

Sabina...thanks for reciprocating or else i would not be in peace.
Sure i understand the tees and it's good that you pen them down. You are also blessed in that...the intensity is felt by whoever reads. i feel your sadness and wish there was some way i could lift you out of that adrk sad room and bring you out in the sun.
BTW i just passed ur poem to another fellow blogger. Check it out. i know her as Being A Mother. i follow her and she's on my blog list.
Hope you find peace and happiness...soon.
Hugs
Shivani
