Thoughts, words, action
Coming in course of events,
Or, encounters with another soul
Give pleasure and at times
Much pain leaves its mark -
Overt or subtle
Emotions arise
When enacting drama of life
The interplays of shadows and light
Have made me realize
Without the high and low
A smooth and plain sail
Would have deprived me so
Of the experience in totality
Of the miracle
Of being simply human.
